What an honour it was to be part of Adelady’s International Women’s Day event on March 8, 2024! Hosted by the incredible Hayley Pearson and Lauren DeCesare, the event took place at the picturesque Pavilion at Carrick Hill, offering breathtaking views of Adelaide’s cityscape and the surrounding hills. With such a stunning backdrop and surrounded by inspiring women, I had the privilege of live painting throughout the day.
As I set up my easel, I felt inspired by the beauty all around me—the vibrant, colourful flowers arranged around the venue, the sweeping views, and the energy of the occasion. I knew I had to incorporate all of these elements into the painting. In just 4 hours, I captured the essence of the event, blending the vibrant colours of the flowers with the natural beauty of Adelaide’s ocean, cityscape, and greenery. The floral arrangements were an integral part of the composition, bringing the lively spirit of the day to life on canvas.
By the end of the event, my painting was raffled off to a lucky prize winner, offering them a one-of-a-kind way to remember and cherish the special day forever.
